Yhdysvalloissa, Arizonan Tempessä sijaitseva ProTek Devices valmistaa erilaisia ylijännitesuojia elektroniikkalaitteiden suojaamiseksi salaman, staattisen purkauksen (ESD), elektromagneettisen pulssin (EMP), ydinräjähdyksen (NEMP) ja kytkentäinduktion aiheuttamilta ylijännitteiltä. Historia
Vuonna 1992 ProTek Devices osti Tempessä, Arizonassa sijaitsevat General Semiconductor, Inc:n (GSI) toiminnot Square-D Companyltä. Yhtiön haltuun siirtyi kaupassa GSI:n korkealaatuisten ylijännitesuojien tuotanto ja jatkamalla sen jälkeen uusien, suorituskykyisten komponenttien kehitystyötä on ProTek saavuttanut johtoaseman markkinoilla. Tänään käsittää yhtiön laaja valikoima joukon tuotesarjoja korttitasoisista pintaliitoskomponenteista megawattitasoisiin suojajärjestelmiin saakka.

EMI TVS Array in 8 12 and 16 pin Low Profile DFN Packages
ProTek Devices introduces the EMxDLP-100L. A EMI/TVS Array in a low profile DFN package. The Series is available in either a 4, 6 or 8 line configuration. Thinner handhelds and mobile devices have necessitated the design of components that are lower in profile. The height of the DLP packages are 0.5mm.
These devices are designed to protect applications such as wireless telecommunications devices, LCD Diplays PCMCIA cards and portable electronics such as PDAs and digital cameras.
The EMxDLP-100L is rated at 200W peak pulse power using the 8/20μs surge waveform, which is sufficient protection for tertiary type lightning threats at key interface locations. These devices meet the requirements of IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) and 61000-4-4 (EFT).
Packaged in the low profile either a DFN-4LP, DFN-6LP or DFN-8LP plastic case, the small footprint can be utilized in ultra small handheld devices. The EMxD-100 should be placed near a connector to provide the best protection against transients.


The EMxDLP-100xx is a Low pass filter using the capacitive element of the TVS diodes as the poles of the LP filter. The filter elements are connected between pins 1 to 12, 2 to 11, 3 to 10 etc. The capacitance of 7.5pF per diode allows for a Frequency rolloff of 220MHZ at the 3dB piont the attenuation is >25dB for the range oF 900MHZ to 3.0GHz.

Low Capacitance TVS Array in a Miniature SOT-553 & 563 Package
ProTek Devices introduces MSMF05LC and MSMF05LCC. The small multiline, low capacitance (9pF typical), transient voltage suppressor arrays.
These devices are designed to protect applications such as wireless telecommunications devices, PCMCIA cards and portable electronics such as PDAs and digital cameras.
The MSMF05LC is available in a 4 line unidirectional configuration and the MSMF05LCC is available in a 5 line unidirectional or 4 line bidirectional configuration with a working voltage of 5V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 6V. These devices are rated for 100W peak pulse power using the 8/20μs surge waveform, which is sufficient protection for tertiary type lightning threats at key interface locations.
The low capacitance 9pF per I/O to ground, is ideally suited to protect 5 VDC lines and data I/O ports against ESD and EFT with minimal attenuation of signals. Both devices meet the requirements of IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) and 61000-4-4 (EFT).
Packaged in the miniture SOT-553 and SOT-563 plastic case, with a small footprint of 1.6mm x 1.6mm these devices can be utilized in ultra small handheld applications. The device should be placed near a connector to provide the best protection against transients.

ProTek Devices introduces VSMF05LC and VSMF05LCC, the smallest multiline, low capacitance, transient voltage suppressor arrays on the market today.
These devices are designed to protect applications such as wireless telecommunications, PCMCIA cards and portable electronics such as PDAs and
digital cameras.
The VSMF05LC is available in a 4 line unidirectional configuration and the
VSMF05LCC is available in a 5 line unidirectional or 4 line bidirectional configuration with a working voltage of 5V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 6V.
