Oy Flinkenberg Ab is a family owned company established in 1921. The turnover was EUR 66 millions in 2021 and the company employed 100 employees.
Flinkenberg specializes in technical B2B sales. The business consists of the whole logistical chain i.e. importing, stock-holding, processing and distributing various industrial products. The main market area is Finland, but the company has gained a growing number of customers in the Baltic countries and Sweden. The main suppliers are located in Europe with some suppliers in the USA and Asia.
The headquarters as well as departments for chemicals, energy and components are located in Espoo, Finland. The steel service centers are placed in Valkeakoski and Kerava.

Steel
The Steel Service Center specializes in selling and processing of heavy steel plates in Valkeakoski close to the city of Tampere. The production consists of flame, plasma, laser and water cutting. The processing and finishing services include bevelling, machining, bending and shot-blasting of the plates and cut pieces.
The business unit of Reinforcing Steel is located in Kerava. The plant has facilities for cutting, bending and welding. The sales is targeting major building and concrete element companies focusing on industrial and commercial buildings as well as land and water constructions.
The Steel Wire department represents the Belgian Bekaert Group in Finland.
Chemicals
Flinkenberg Chemicals is marketing special and basic chemicals. Core competences are raw materials for the cosmetics and the detergent industries such as surfactants for detergency or emulsifying, active ingredients for cosmetics etc. In cooperation with the research laboratories of our principals we are able to provide our clients with versatile technical knowledge and research assistance for example in the form of guideline formulations.
Energy Solutions
Energy Solutions department specializes in the import, storage, and sale of high-quality energy products such as solar energy solutions, EV chargers, lighting control, as well as batteries and power supplies. Flinkenberg Energy offers solutions to retailers, professional users, and installation companies. End customers are served locally through an extensive and knowledgeable network of retailers.
Components
Flinkenberg Components markets electronic components and electrical equipment to OEM manufacturers, subcontractors and wholesalers. There is a large range of components for applications in power electronics, telecom and industrial use. The assortment includes electronic components, such as semiconductors, relays, passive components, electro mechanics and also automations products. The principals are leading manufacturers in this branch.
Partnership companies
Swiss Steel Oy operates in the same facilities with the Steel Service Center in Valkeakoski. Flinkenberg is a minority shareholder of the company. Swiss Steel Oy has a wide range of special long steel products and sawing services.
Flinkenberg is also a shareholder of the company GreenEnergy Finland Oy, which sells and develops solarpower applications to energy companies, enterprises and households. GreenEnergy Finland operates in Lappeenranta and Espoo.
